Annual report VR Group
VR-Group Ltd is a limited company owned by the State of Finland. The Group’s net sales in 2015 were EUR 1,231.4 million, which was 9.9 per cent less than in the previous year. Comparability to 2014 is impeded by the exit from the Group of Finrail Oy on 1 January 2015. Comparable net sales declined by 7.5 per cent from 2014.
VR Group comprises three business divisions: VR provides passenger services for long-distance and commuter traffic with both trains and buses; VR Transpoint provides logistics services for both rail and road logistics; and VR Track specialises in infrastructure engineering and provides its customers with design, construction and maintenance services and supplies railway materials.
VR Group's market areas are Finland, Sweden and Russia.
